Former inn known as "HERMITAGIE," see inscription. Originally a plot of land overgrown with low shrubs surrounded by a double moat with a hermitage in the center, housing a hermitage. The hermitage disappeared in 1578 during the Geuzentroebelen (Beggar Troubles). On a 1776 map showing the properties of the Abbey of St. Andrew, the inn is depicted as a single-story building with three bays under a saddleback roof. In 1835, the property was described as a house with accompanying land, orchard, garden, and woods. A barn was built in 1885.
