The Watermolenvijver domain is located on the corner of the Torhoutsesteenweg and the Rolleweg. Here you can spot birds in the birdwatching hut and take a nice walk along the pond. On the other side of the road is the forest and the Abbey of Zevenkerken.

A watermill was built on the Veldbeek in 1562 at the location where the pond is now located. The small drop in the stream meant that the mill was never really a success. A few savings ponds were constructed to ensure that milling could still take place during the drier periods. The watermill is said to have been active until around 1800.

The building complex continued to exist as a farm with the De Watermolen inn. In 1957, the building was demolished to straighten the Torhoutsesteenweg in the bend at Zevenkerken. The rest of the buildings were preserved and a few decades ago a pond was constructed on the land behind it.
