Vanalinn is the oldest part of Tallinn. This part of the city was built in the 13th and 14th centuries and is well preserved.Vanalinn has an elevated part, Toompea Hill, where there are several beautiful viewing points, and a lower part, known as the Lower Town. Both parts were separate administrative units for centuries. They were only united under one administration in 1878. The parts are separated by a wall and connected by two streets. The entire Old Town is worth a visit at any time of year and offers something for everyone, including culinary delights.

Tallinn's old town is small and easy to navigate and has a lot to offer visitors. There are many churches, museums, 9 towers of the old city wall and much more.
