Carl Somborn (1824 - 1882) was a city councilor and alderman for the city of Boppard. Along with mayor Syrée, assistant watchman, master builder, Fuchs and Carl Kramer, he was one of the founding members of the Transport and Beautification Association (VVV), which was founded in 1872, and was its chairman until 1878.
