The memorial was opened on May 30, 2010 in the presence of the then President of the Central Council of Jews in Germany, Dr. Charlotte Knobloch and the chairman of the regional association of Jewish communities in Hesse, Moritz Neumann, were inaugurated.
The memorial plaque bears the following inscription:
Former Ghetto Wall Memorial
In memory of the Jewish children, women and men who were abducted and murdered during the Nazi era.
