The round from Hochlar via Bockholt and Marl in the direction of the Wesel-Datteln Canal led us to Flaesheim. From there it went across the Haard and over Oer and the Quellberg back to Hochlar. When the weather was nice, it was a varied tour that led through meadows and fields, along streams and along the canal and through the forest area of Haard. Highly recommended!

The tour led us from Dorsten initially over the former railway line that went from Haltern am See via Wesel to Venlo. Since the largely straight line was rather monotonous, it is advisable to follow the Römer-Lippe route, which is more varied, for the way to Drevenack. The way back along the Wesel-Datteln Canal was nicer, as it was avoided to only use the Canal Path. 🌞😎🚴‍♀️👍Finally, a tip for everyone who comes to Dorsten by car:
Please avoid parking on Schleusenstraße on the wide sidewalk, which is hardly recognizable as such. The fun cost me 55 euros. 😡🤔

This tour should not be taken on Sundays or public holidays. Although I drove in the morning, there was already a lot of people in the nice weather. Especially at the Hullerner reservoir, at the Alte Fahrt and on the canal, the tour became a slalom ride in order to avoid walkers with and without a dog, children who are not on a leash, joggers and Nordic walkers, etc. At noon it became increasingly crowded. 😂🌞🚴‍♀️😉😕In addition, the return trip on the Wesel-Datteln Canal was rather monotonous and dusty. There are definitely more varied alternatives. 🤔😷

Contrary to our planning, we had to make a small detour in Horneburg, because the Hagemer Weg is currently completely closed due to the construction site "gas pipe between Datteln and Herne".For the first time on the tour we traveled the full length of the Haard Grenzweg from east to west. The path is currently partially redesigned and equipped with nice rest areas. However, the current construction work is not disruptive.

Unfortunately I didn't notice in time that the battery was saying goodbye to my cell phone. 😡
The last 5 kilometers of the tour on the avenue of change to the starting point were therefore not recorded. 😕
However, this does not spoil the overall impression of the tour. In the morning "glove weather" it went away from the busy and well-known routes to Brassert. Only the way back initially led through some residential streets. 🚴‍♀️😷🙂
