Hiking

The sandstone building was first mentioned in 1379 as the city scales. It also served as a department store and warehouse in which the merchants' goods had to be offered for sale for three days (stacking rights). In the years 1979 to 1983 the building was renovated (gutted, supplemented and expanded).

Miltenberg's Old Town Hall is one of the most striking buildings in the old town and a true gem of Franconian half-timbered architecture.
First mentioned around 1379, its current appearance dates largely from the 16th century (Renaissance/Early Baroque).
A half-timbered building with a sandstone base – typically Franconian, featuring ornate carvings and bay windows.
For centuries, the building served as the administrative and judicial seat of the town of Miltenberg.
