This bronze statue marks the culmination of the work of the rue des Religioeuses district, as part of the urban renovation. The nun remembers the presence of the White Ladies, the sisters of the Notre-Dame charity. They were once installed at the beginning of Rue Dupont, which was originally Rue des Religioeuses. Two cherubs laid at the feet complete Vinciane Renard's work to whom the old crafts are indebted on the urban Boulevard. The sculpture, which has no body, but two garments, is inspired by chryséléphantine: this technique reinforces the contrast between the dress (bronze patina) and the rest (painted bronze): the face, the hands of the nun and the angel at the foot of the dress, remind them of ivory. The clothes descend down the stairs, as if showing the root of this statue in the town of Marche-en-Famenne.
