The Amandus Church in Bad Urach is one of the most important late Gothic churches with net and star vaults in Swabia.
It was built between 1475 and 1499 under the Württemberg Count Eberhard im Bart, who was born and lived in Urach. It was completed around 1500 by the stonemason and architect Peter von Koblenz.
After the introduction of the Reformation, Urach soon became the seat of a Württemberg deanery.
The church tower was raised between 1896 and 1901. On the north side of the Amandus Church is the Monks' Court, originally a canons' monastery.
In the Church of St. Amandus there are important furnishings from the so-called "Urach Master Circle".

The church is worth a visit, the floral ceiling painting is impressive.

Probably around 1474/75, Count Eberhard V. ("Eberhard in the Beard") gave the order to build the late Gothic collegiate church.
