The Max-Marien spring is located at the Langenau hiking car park. The sour spring was given its name in 1851 on the occasion of a visit by the Bavarian King Max and his wife Marie, when the nobles tasted the mineral spring.

Great healing spring, I keep seeing people filling their bottles here. Today I got the great tip a shot of lemon in the bottle and the iron does not settle in the bottle

The Max-Marien spring is a so-called calcium hydrogen carbonate acid water. It stimulates kidney function and is recommended for gout and diseases of the urinary tract (ureter, bladder, urethra, etc.). Rich in calcium.
The Max-Marien spring was re-tapped in 1981 and is also served in the Bad Steben spa complex. There is a drinking fountain and a water extraction tunnel on site. Hiking trails all around provide access to the Geroldsgrüner Forest.
