From here, it's about 400m straight ahead, and we can see the sign for the ski jump (1953 to 1964) on the right.
The Schötener Promenade/Grund, leading from Apolda to Schöten, is also a gem – popular with young and old, as it's entertaining, shady, and has the Schötener Bach flowing through it.
