Hiking east from the Scout Camp (near Apolda), we cross the county road with the field name "Schafsstränke" (Schafsstränke) and the end of the path/road: Am Querweg (municipality of Schöten).
From here, it's about 400m straight ahead, and we can see the sign for the ski jump (1953 to 1964) on the right.
The Schötener Promenade/Grund, leading from Apolda to Schöten, is also a gem – popular with young and old, as it's entertaining, shady, and has the Schötener Bach flowing through it.translated by
