The baroque chapel on the Kyll was built in 1734 as a hall church with a choir closed on three sides. As can be seen from old documents, the small church was donated by the scholar Everhard Lux. The St. Brigida Chapel was first dedicated to the sufferings of Christ and later, when a terrible cattle epidemic struck the Eifel, it was transferred to the only saint of cattle, St. Brigida, as the patron saint. Fortunately, the chapel more or less survived the flood of 2021. A year later, you can still smell the moisture inside, and drying devices are still running. Nevertheless, it is worth taking a look inside, just because of the church windows by the artist Rolf Dettmann.
