A quaint and historic little town that is well worth a wander around. More than anything it is out of sort with the rest of South America. I loved the old cars dotted around the town as mini exhibitions.

In 1995, the old town, Barrio Histórico, was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site by Colonia del Sacramento. The city was founded in 1680, making it the oldest city in Uruguay.
It is worth exploring the beautiful streets and inviting squares of the old town.
