Arendsee's current town hall is located at Markt 3 and was originally built in 1837/38 as a town school. The building served as a school until 1939, before being converted into the town hall. Previously, the mayor's office was located at Friedensstraße 77. With the conversion of the former town school, the town hall was relocated to its current location. Today, the historic building serves as the seat of Arendsee's town administration. It is a prominent landmark in the town center and bears witness to the town's eventful history.
