Gustav Nagel (1874–1952) was a German naturopath and itinerant preacher, known for his unconventional lifestyle. In 2010, a bronze statue by the sculptor Katrin Pannicke was erected in Arendsee in his honor. Titled "The Itinerant Preacher of Arendsee," the statue was ceremoniously unveiled on October 3, 2010, and stands in Arendsee's town center. It depicts Nagel in his typical appearance and commemorates his work in naturopathy and his spiritual teachings. In 2011, a bronze boy and girl were added next to the Gustav Nagel figure on Friedensstraße, completing the ensemble. The two smaller sculptures are also by sculptor Katrin Pannicke.
