gustaf nagel, actually Gustav Nagel (* 28 March 1874 in Werben as Carl Gustav Adolf Nagel; † 15 February 1952 in Uchtspringe), was a German nature lover and itinerant preacher.
He is considered to be part of the life reform movement and was also known as a "champion of simplified spelling".
The long-term centre of his work was the Altmark town of Arendsee and the lake of the same name, on whose shores he built his temple and spa complex.
His memory is still kept there in various ways today.
