This is where the Liewerfrauenweg starts, one of the Bergische forays. The path is a memorial to the women who, up until the 1920s, transported half-finished or finished steel goods in a basket on their heads from Kotten am Bach or on the Wupper uphill to the merchants' offices in Solingen. They carried 15 to 25 kilograms of weight - and that up to ten kilometers.
