These two beech trees, designated as natural monument, grow together in the root area and in the lower crown area.

This still refers to the old name of the highlight "Sequoias": The trees may look beautiful, but they are not sequoias. Sequoias are conifers and have thick, soft, slightly reddish bark. These look completely different and are beeches.
If you want to see sequoias, you will find some in the Arboretum Burgholz ;)
