Legend has it that a bear dropped a child after his mother had shouted "Jesus, help". That led to the name of this fountain

Here is the whole legend about the Jesus fountain as it is on the info at the Jesus fountain.
It was many years ago in the summertime when women had to be careful about picking the berries of the forest to fetch food for the family and to stock up for the long winter. Often enough the income was low and the table was accordingly poorly set. That is why the forest's fruits and mushrooms were sometimes vital to feed the hungry mouths.
For this reason, a woman from Gefrees could not avoid taking the route via Gottmannsberg to Tischweg, where there were plenty of berries in the open spaces at that time. Since she had no one to look after her child at home, she took it into the woods and put it in diapers near a cool spring so that it could be picked undisturbed.
Then a bear approached, initially not noticed by the busy mother, grabbed the wrap around the diaper with its mouth and wanted to carry the child away. At this moment the mother was alerted by a cry from the child, folded her hands in horror, lifted up to heaven and called:
"Jesus help! My child! My child!"
Irritated, the bear dropped the child, which had also slipped a little out of its diaper, and disappeared into the nearby bushes. The child was saved and the mother hugged it with love and said in a grateful voice: "Jesus has helped!"
Since that time this well or the spring in the "Schöffele" in the department "Herrenholz" between Gottmannsberg and the whetstone has been called the "Jesusbrunnen"
