Either to visit the rose village of Lottum and then take the Lottum-Lomm ferry back. Or to Broekhuizen and use the car ferry to return. A longer hike to Schuitwater is worthwhile - a nature reserve along an old arm of the Maas, a varied forest, heath and moorland area. But pay attention to the ferry timetables (usually until 5 p.m. - the Broekhuizen car ferry runs until 10 p.m.)
