The Siemsen storage facility and the round silo are located at Eckernförde Hafen. Due to their size, they are the two most striking buildings in the port area.
The yellow or red-brown bricks of the Siemsen storage facility and the round silo give this building that certain look. This alone makes the buildings look historic. The location directly at the port of Eckernförde makes it so unique. From the Borby side you have a good view of both buildings.The Siemsen-Speicher takes its name from the former owner of the building, the Siemsen family. Here in the port area (Langebrückstraße 34) there used to be the building materials store and the Siemsen hardware store. Since the hardware store has moved to Noorstraße as Hagebaumarkt after about 80 years, the port area in this area was redesigned.
