Bindergasse (Via Bottai) is one of the oldest and most typical streets in the city: It is located at the eastern end of the Lauben and connects Rathausplatz with Weggensteinstrasse.
Like the rest of the historic center of Bozen with the arcades, Bindergasse is also part of the pedestrian zone and closed to traffic.
The cooperage were one of the most influential guilds in the city. Wrought-iron signs from these old inns still adorn the facades of the houses today.
