The Achtersee is an artificial pond in the Maximiliansanlagen in a northern direction not far from the driveway to the Angel of Peace. It is fed by two slope sources. Its water level is higher than that of the Isar. The drain runs through a pipe into the Isar. On a small peninsula, benches invite you to relax. The name comes from its shape.
