Magnificent bridge structure, which leads up to the prominent Maximilianeum and points in a westerly direction to the Maxmonument and the further course of Maximilianstrasse. From the bridge you also have a beautiful view of the Isar, to the south over the buildings of the German Museum, and to the north of the weir system of the "little Isar".
The bridge actually consists of two bridges, the western inner bridge over the "large Isar" to the Praterinsel and the outer bridge over the "small Isar" up to the Maximilianeum. The current building goes back to a new construction/conversion of the first bridge from the middle of the 19th century - said new construction/conversion was carried out in 1903-05 by Friedrich von Thiersch.

You can see the Bavarian parliament building on one side, the river below and two other bridges - one on each side - the green parks around it and the city in the distance. Get over it and enjoy shooting in any direction!
