About Pi Leo

Another stroll through the city of Munich in wonderfully warm temperatures and sunshine. In contrast to the last part of the city tours, I first went on the walking paths on the eastern side of the Isar and the Maximiliansanlagen to Gasteig. Only then did you find yourself in the middle of the city again. In well-known places it was full, in the residential streets you could see beautiful and well-kept old villas from the outside. You can dream of that - but when you read the prices in a real estate agent's shop window for newly renovated old buildings in Bogenhausen, well, you get back to the facts pretty quickly.

Another round through Munich's park landscapes. The trails and paths were surprisingly relatively dry. At least the bike stayed clean and I didn't have a trace of mud on my bottom. At first the weather didn't look so rosy. Before I took the S1 to the Fasanerie, it was still foggy. But that changed within a very short time the closer you got to Munich.Passed parks:
- Upper pheasant garden
- Hartmannshofer Park
- Capuchin wood
- Nymphenburg Palace Park (outer zone)
- Green area on Richelstrasse
- Arnulf Park
- Olympic ParkNoticeable: Everything that had legs was on the move, especially in the Hirschgarten, Maßmannpark and Olympic grounds. The extensive trails, on the other hand, were rarely visited, so that a free and flowing ride was possible.

So! The snow is gone, the sun is shining and 9 ° C.Another round through Bogenhausen. The starting point was Denninger Strasse near Herkomerplatz. Over the Herzogpark to the Oberföhring district boundary on Wahnfriedallee. From there over the individual sections of the Denninger Anger to the Arabellapark. After an elevator ride to the 22nd floor, one had a very good view of the east of Munich. The way back to the car via Effnerplatz with the "Mae West" sculpture or work of art is a phenomenon, as it has already received many nicknames in the public and the press. Be that as it may, the plastic is always good for a few photos.

Today a leisurely bike tour in bright sunshine.Like yesterday in the freezing cold, we started in the early afternoon. First on the western side of the Isar, somewhat sheltered from the wind, to Dietersheimer Isarsteg. On the eastern side of the Isar you felt the hard wind immediately after leaving the forest. A short distance on the St2053 (Freisinger Straße) was enough to really freeze yourself. Do the same again on the access road to Lost Place behind the Schloßgut Erching. The last part back then with wind and a short break in the sheltered. The sun is already strong again and is already radiating warmth.

Friday afternoon: lots of sun, no clouds, cold, felt even colder, east wind. The steady easterly wind pulled very strongly around the ears. So hat on, gloves on and sunglasses on against the reflective brightness of the snow. When taking pictures, the fingers immediately became stiff and clammy. The smartphone also had its problems. But still, a beautiful winter day.

The tour begins and ends at the newly designed east entrance to Munich, the gateway to Bogenhausen. In short, the tour extends over the residential area of Altbogenhausen and the Parkstadt Bogenhausen.I deliberately did not take photos of villas so as not to violate privacy (GDPR).If you are interested, see Wikipedia: de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liste_der_Baudenkmäler_in_Bogenhausen

You can't ride a bike today, my darling! Or what kind of hit was that? The plus degrees of the last few days have thawed the icy plates on and off quite well. Below that, the ground has turned into a nice, mushy mush. Not nice - but it doesn't matter with my old hiking boots. On the whole round there is no noteworthy highlight that could be mentioned. It's just winter and today looks a bit cloudy. The only exception was the sun, which was briefly glimpsed before setting.Oh and the hit was: Lovesickness is not worth it ... by Siw Malmkvist.

The same starting and finishing point as last weekend near Inhausen to warm up to Haimhausen. This time, however, the eastern Ampertrails from Haimhausen. Unfortunately, the lap did not go as I had imagined and planned beforehand. It should at least go as far as Weng. The decisive factor was the nature of the path (trails and dirt roads), which thwarted my plans. Why? The solidified snow cover, which last week had a good grip, was no longer the case today. On Wednesday it had rained extensively, but the temperatures remained in the minus range, so that everything turned into ice sheets. In addition, there was hardly any possibility to drive to the right or left of the path. The same problems arose on the way back from Fahrenzhausen via the Ammer-Amper cycle path. Careful cycling on snow-powdered ice sheets! The last stretch on the paved bike path on the B13 to the car park. The complete tour will be made up as soon as the paths allow.
