Hiking

The castle garden originated around 1620 by leveling the wooded area between the old castle ruins and the new castle. The garden was enclosed by walls and laid out in the Renaissance style as a pleasure garden. From the 18th century onward, the castle garden was used as the private garden of the foresters. Since 1975, the garden at Neuenbürg Castle has been open to the public as a park; due to its fruit trees, the park is also known locally as the Cherry Orchard.
