Old Roman Catholic Church. Brick building from 1793; single-aisled nave, built-in west tower (1812) and narrower choir with three-sided closure. Very picturesquely situated on a walled churchyard. Oak bell tower with chime consisting of two bells from anonymous founders.

The church was built in 1791-'93 to replace a 14th-century predecessor. The sacristy dates from 1805. The tower of the old church remained separate from the new church until 1841. Then the current tower was built to a design by S. Beugels. A bluestone entrance frame from 1812 was placed in the new tower. Bells from 1494 and 1506 hang in it.

      Terpkerk
The current Terpkerk was built in three periods. The oldest part is the simple, elongated nave with the somewhat narrower, three-quarter-length chancel. This nave was built between 1792 and 1793 and stands on the site of an earlier church. The altar faces south; it is traditional to place churches with the altar facing east. This is all due to the location of the hill. The sacristy was built in 1805 over the grave of Melchior de Krahe, who was pastor of this parish from 1770 to 1805. The foundation's purpose is to protect the monuments in Urmond from decay and destruction and, in part, to promote and preserve them by encouraging appropriate use—where and to the extent possible—in accordance with the Monument and Heritage Protection Act.

        Tower & Clocks
Until 1843, the tower of the former church stood separate from the church building. The current church tower was built in that year. Construction costs amounted to NLG 2,096.20 1/2. The design for the church tower, with its square bell tower and spire, was designed by Severinus Beugels. The tower housed three bells: the Sanctus Martinus from 1493, the Sancta Maria from 1506, and the Sancta Anna from 1559. The Sancta Maria was removed by the Germans on December 23, 1942, along with the Sancta Anna. On November 26, 1945, the church council received news from Roermond that the Sancta Maria had arrived in Roermond unharmed. The then pastor, Herpers, noted: On November 28, 1945, it returned to our village. Completely intact, to the great joy of the population, our people could once again gather to attend holy services and honor God, instead of being melted down into cannons. Thank God! Nothing was ever heard of the Sancta Anna again; the inscription on the Sanctus Martinus reads: "My name is Sanctus Martinus. I invite you into the holy land. Whoever hears me will be saved." Anno MCCCXCIII (1493)
