In the valley of the Eger, surrounded by untouched nature lies on the Czech side a sour well. The mineral spring is a "Eisenhaltiger Säuerling" and is probably related to the nearby Carolinenquelle on the Bavarian side at the foot of Hohenberg.

During our visit there was no mineral water outlet, the source had dried up. It is probably related to the nearby, more powerful Carolinen spring below Hohenberg. The type of water is ferruginous acidulous.

You should take a closer look at the area at the Sauerbrunnquelle. There used to be a village here. Foundation walls and foundations can be seen everywhere in the forest.
