Great view from the 32 meter high tower on Kohlberg. Beautiful landscape in all directions. Free binoculars at the tower. From here you can start various hikes towards the reservoir or into the Röslau Gorge. Parking possible at the hiking car park on the road to Arzberg.

The "Waldenfelswarte" is a 20 meter high observation tower on the summit of the Kohlberg (632 m above sea level) near Arzberg. In the vernacular, the Kohlberg is also called "Sugarloaf".
The circular hiking trails No. 1 and No. 3 lead over the Kohlberg to the "Waldenfelswarte". Starting point for the hiking trails are the hiking car park Siebenlindenberg or the parking lot at the town hall.
From the lookout tower you have a magnificent view of the Upper Palatinate hills and the neighboring Czech Republic.

Every year on Whit Monday, the traditional Sugarloaf Festival (Forest Festival) takes place.

In 1961, the 21 meter high Waldenfelswarte observation tower was erected on the Kohlberg by the local Arzberg Fichtelgebirge association. It was named after Ernst Freiherr von Waldenfels, who provided 900 square meters of land for the construction. In 2017, the tower was raised another 12 meters to 33 meters. This makes it the highest lookout tower in the Fichtelgebirge Association.
