The historic building from the 17th century dates from 1672, and was probably built as a warehouse on the quay of the then still navigable Kleine Nete. What are now the windows with wooden shutters, were then open entrances, or entrances with an inward opening shutter, with a pulley for loading and unloading goods. The impressive beam structure on bluestone pillars also indicates that the building had to be able to bear heavy loads on its four floors. Owners included brewers, coal and grain merchants. At the beginning of the 20th century, a lemonade factory was located there. The building on the Binnennete has been a protected monument since 1980.
