The fountain, built in 1867 by Neapolitan master Tito Angelini of Carrara marble, depicts the Amenano river as a young man holding a cornucopia from which water flows into a basin with a convex rim. The water overflowing from this tank creates a cascade effect that gives the feeling of a film.
