Compared to the road along the railway on the north side, the ascent to the Drachenfels is much more beautiful. Especially great at sunset, then the view is even nicer.

A very beautiful hiking trail to Drachenfels Castle. In some places, you have to step over the roots of fallen trees. During prolonged dry periods, the surface can be a bit slippery.
