About Philipp Hesse

I stumbled across the forest adventure trail on a bike tour. Today I was able to walk the entire small circuit and I'm thrilled: with a lot of love and good ideas, the creators have created a varied path that should be equally interesting for children and adults.

At nine stations you will learn a lot

    1. In September they slowly fly south again, the cranes. From Scandinavia and Eastern Europe, most of the giant birds migrate via Germany to North Africa and Spain.

There are three large rest areas in Germany for the crane migration. One of these is the Linumer Teich in the Rhin-Havelluch bird sanctuary

    1. A varied, short circular route that has a special appeal in winter.

There is heath, moorland and mossy forests on the way. Not bad for so few kilometers.

There are even two rest areas. The highlight, the elaborate bird watching hut, has its best time in spring, when the capercaillies fight for courtship

    1. Warm up a bit before swimming - the small group was perfect for that.

A special highlight: I not only saw the black stork on the information board, but also lifelike on the tree. Really great experience. There was never not enough for a photo.

    1. A day without barriers, that would be a nice farewell! Today I want to go to Guslaved, which means getting out of the lakes again and back to the Nissan riverbed. Eight kilometers as the crow flies, more like 16 kilometers by river. This is how much the Nissan meanders through Sweden.

      But I notice right

    1. Keeping the ball flat was the motto today. Immediately after 500 meters the first official portage came. Dozens of signs showed the way, because: this portage leads directly over a golf course 😜

I felt like I was missing something out of place, so unshaven in my merino clothes and sandals. A golf cart

    1. Yesterday I started at three o'clock, today I'm already at the finish at three - a beach just for me alone. But I deserved it today.

In the meantime I have developed a great talent for avoiding river blockages. Sometimes you can still drive through the branches of a fallen tree, sometimes there is a gap

    1. I finished packing much too late. Shortly after three I was only able to put the kayak in the water and it was easy to get started: my paddle had no grip on the bank as a boarding aid. The boat drifted away, my step in the water was lost and I had no choice but to throw myself forward into the boat

    1. If you don't know your way around, follow a cycle path. And it's great how many cycle paths we have in Germany! Today the idea was to cycle to the Benediktweg and follow it a bit to the Inn-Salzach Panoramaweg. About this it should then go back towards the starting point. Where would the path lead us
