Here is the representative Renaissance building of the arcade house, which is striking for its three-storey bay window, its volute gables and the arcade passage. It was built in 1606 for the Protestant pastors.

This elegant Renaissance building with a volute gable is structured by a series of arcades and two corner bay windows that frame the three floors of the façade facing the Grand'Rue. The builder was none other than Albert Schmidt, who also created the House of the Knights of St. John and the House of the Heads. The building was once the home of the clergy of the Lutheran Church.
