About Der Jakobspilger

After an excellent breakfast (the JH Trier can only be recommended, modern, clean and a really great staff) we made our way past the Moselle

St. Matthias where is the tomb of

      Holy Apostle Matthias is located.

After a period of reflection we made our way home.

On the Moselle via Schweich to Klüsserath. Through

When the weather is nice, I'm with mine

2 pilgrim sister started. From Ulmen to Gillenfeld, via the Maare-Moselle cycle path to Wittlich, further through the Salmtal in the direction of Hetzerath. Shortly before Schweich we got caught. A short, heavy May rain showered us. But the delicious ice cream in

But I still have to comment a little on the tour. She was tough but beautiful.

It's great how nature wakes up and is in full bloom.

The tour went without any problems up to Brohl-Lützing, where I was caught in a construction site. A 10 cm lowered sewer construction site has become my undoing. I got stuck

A long, beautiful and exhausting tour. But was fun. From Ulmen we went to Cochem, but continued on the right side to Treis-Karden. The path is tarred in the first third otherwise a natural path with some rough rocky passages in it. But didn't mind. But without any traffic and always in the countryside

Nice tour in great spring weather. At first it was still quite fresh. The route was chosen so that I had nature mostly to myself. Only in the Maare area were there a lot of hikers. But we got along well with each other🚴‍♂️🥾👍😂

👍 good to know. Then I don't have to go to Trier every time I'm too hungry for half a hinkel. But Trier and Cochem are always worth a trip.
