Initially quite overcast ☁️⛅️ but at quite usable temperatures, had to do a slightly longer tour again on Saturday. Even though the sun 🌞 has been quite scarce, all the ups and downs, the paths along the stream and the beautiful views were a lot of fun 😊. A bit strenuous, but really nice!

Really nice round through the forest between Essen and Velbert. Not too far, but still a bit strenuous due to the constant ups and downs.
It is alarming that although the paths are partly a bit muddy, most streams are almost or even completely dried up.. 😳😣

Great round through the Elbschetal in the best hiking weather 🌤. Many beautiful footpaths on the Böllberg, great views from Mount Zerbe and of course the Elbsche... what more could you want? It was fun 😊

To conclude the BaWü trip, we had a small, relaxed tour of the Maulbronn monastery grounds.
This time... due to time constraints... without a guided tour, which is otherwise absolutely recommended. Instead, we had a delicious plum cake 🍰 and a coffee ☕️ at the restaurant-café Klosterkatz.

The excursion to Esslingen am Neckar is always worth it!
Great old town with impressive half-timbered houses and other monuments.
The climb via the castle steps to Esslingen Castle was quite 🥵🥵 with over 30°C though...
Not much is left of the castle except the defensive wall, the Dicker Turm tower

Pforzheim - Gasometer 360° Panorama Amazonien 🦎🌳🌴
Im Gasometer Pforzheim findet derzeit eine Ausstellung zum Thema Amazonien statt. Im Erdgeschoss wird mit tollen Fotos und interessanten Texten über die Tier- Pflanzenwelt am Amazonas informiert. Auch die Zerstörung durch menschliche Eingriffe wird ausführlich behandelt.
Im Obergeschoss befindet sich dann das Highlight, das 360° Panoramabild vom Künstler Yadegar Asisi.…
