The Fürth professional fire department building is located on Helmplatz. The hall gates can be seen from the Königsstraße as it passes by, behind which the vehicles of the first march are located. The building dates from 1914 and was intended to accommodate horse-drawn carts, which today means that the machinists only have a few centimeters of space between the vehicle and the hall arch when moving in and out. The building is under monument protection with number: D-5-63-000-650.[1] The inauguration of the new fire station at Kapellenstrasse 33 took place on October 22, 2023.[2]

The old fire station in Fue is a very beautiful building. Today's architects should take it as a model. Certainly in the sense that functional buildings can also be beautiful. The Art Nouveau building from 1908 on Helmplatz served as the main station of the Fürth fire department for over a century. After the professional fire department moved to a new station in September 2023, the listed building is now facing a new phase of use.

The old fire station is currently being used temporarily by a volunteer fire department. Various cultural and community-oriented uses are planned for the future.
