The promenade leads along the Rednitz from the parking lot on the Uferstraße to the Badsteg on the Badstraße and was built in August 2007. The waterfront promenade was opened on August 25, 2007 with the great sympathy of the population with the festival "City on the River: Holidays in Fürth" . The city expected around 30,000 visitors that day, an estimated double that number, according to the local press. The cost of building the promenade amounted to 2.4 million euros. As part of the creation of the waterfront, the garden and the roof of the Badstrasse cultural meeting place were also renovated. The foot and bike path continues at the Badsteg to Dambacher Straße. An extension of the promenade north of the Maxbrücke, which the city would like to realize, has so far failed because of the direct residents or the ownership structure.
The promenade has a.o. via boat moorings at the former river bath and at the intercultural gardens. At the northern end there is a memorial plaque for the Nazi victims Dr. Rudolf Benario and Ernst Goldmann. The promenade on the Rednitz is four meters wide and currently 770 meters long. FürthWiki
