The brother council has declared the thick tower in Gladbach's old town to be a “shooting festival”. The historic walls, once part of the medieval city fortifications, now houses the district archive of the brotherhoods. The riflemen from town and country are trying to set up a Lower Rhine rifle museum behind the thick walls.
