The wife of Lucas Cranach the Elder was born in the two-storey baroque building with a mansard roof and round-arched portal. The Renaissance painter later left the building to his son-in-law, as evidenced by a stone double family coat of arms on the house (with Cranach's winged snake and a bag for the Dasch family).

The current building was given the name of the famous painter of the Reformation in 1872 on Cranach's 400th birthday. In the basement of the house is the pumping station for the waterworks from 1895.

Is something hidden, you have to look closely. Better signage would be helpful!
