Ulrich Himbsel (born January 30, 1787 in Neukirchen in der Oberpfalz, † April 27, 1860 in Munich; full name: Johann Ulrich Himbsel) was a German architect and Bavarian civil servant; he was involved in the civil service in the construction of the railway line from Munich to Augsburg and later as a contractor in the construction of the railway line from Munich to Starnberg.

The house where he was born can be found not far from the information point in Neukirchen on the outskirts of town

Birthplace of Johann Ulrich Himbsel - a master builder from Neukirchen. As the Royal Construction Councilor, Johann Ulrich Himbsel (1787 - 1860) influenced the development of the state capital of Munich and "incidentally" built the first railway line to Augsburg. In his second creative period, Neukirchen's largest son founded shipping on Lake Starnberg. onetz.de/deutschland-und-die-welt-r/lokales/johann-ulrich-himbsel-ein-baumeister-aus-neukirchen-macht-die-buerger-muenchens-mobil-freie-bahn- on-the-starnberger-see d1342544.html
