Established 1861, AG 1883 (ABC). In the brewery in Stiftstr. 7, bottom-fermented beers (Cöthener Pilsener and Cöthener Meisterbräu), top-fermented Cöthener malt beer, non-alcoholic beverages, ice cream and animal feed were produced. The major shareholder was Engelhardt-Brauerei AG, Berlin. In 2003, Köthener Brauerei GmbH, which emerged from the former Köthen brewery in 1992, moved from the historic walls to a modern, newly built logistics center. In addition to the Köthener and Hubertus range, the Köthener brewery also sells the new Köthener Brauhaus Premium Pils.
