Imposing Carolingian-Ottonian fortifications from the 8th-10th centuries Century. Wall and ditch remnants can still be made out very well in the area. It's a shame that no archaeological investigation has taken place yet. For more information about the system, see the information board on the east side of the ridge (or image 1 of the highlight).
