Location: Glückstadt, Kreis Steinburg, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany
Since the "Rigmor" is still seaworthy, it is not always in the port of Glückstadt. The wooden sailing ship, built here in 1853 at Johannes P. Schröder's shipyard, was designed as a customs cruiser for the Royal Danish Customs Service to monitor the Schleswig and Holstein coasts from the sea and prevent smuggling. To cover maintenance costs, the "Rigmor", a gaff schooner just under 16 meters long, offers regular trips as well as the option of chartering. It is approved as a traditional ship for twenty people (including crew) in the Elbe area; for trips in coastal waters for a maximum of twelve people.
