Walking w/ 🍯 along “icebergs” on Geesthacht’s Elbe Island 🧊
Right now, with nonstop freeze, the Elbe basically icing over, and the Geesthacht barrage doing its thing, there’s this super weird, beautiful sight: actual “icebergs” sitting out in the middle of the river. My BF and I went over to the island late at night and grabbed a few shots of them. People are saying some of these chunks might go like around 30 feetdeep (10 meters ), but honestly, who knows. 🌬️ Luebeck Christmas Markets w/ 🍯 🎄💨
One more lap through Lübeck’s Christmas markets after Christmas, when they’re basically empty. It was like 4°C (39°F) when we got there and dropped to around 1°C (34°F) later. Some of those little alleys were so icy we almost ate it. 🥀 Still worth it. Lübeck’s the marzipan city + honestly the prettiest big city in Schleswig-Holstein.
