        Great science museum:

        We were most fascinated by the space section, which probably also offers the most highlights: the Apollo 10 command module, the original spacesuit (owned by Helen Sharman – the first British woman in space), the Soyuz space capsule, a real sample of moon rock, etc. There's also a medical section, a history of technology (steam engines and locomotives, cars, etc.), the Flight Gallery (models of Lilienthal aircraft, biplanes, World War I and II up to the 1990s), etc. If you have plenty of time (or in bad weather), the Wonderlab is also recommended with children (approx. 7-14 years old). It has 50 interactive science stations (although there's a fee – currently £15).


        We were able to get in without a pre-booked ticket – despite the Easter holidays. If you want to be on the safe side:
