The Catholic parish church of the Assumption in Kirchheim am Ries, a municipality in the Ostalb district in Baden-Württemberg, was formerly the church of a Cistercian convent. The church was built around 1300 in the Gothic style and redesigned in Baroque style in the middle of the 17th and early 18th centuries. Gothic wall paintings and sculptures as well as the epitaphs of abbesses and the counts of Oettingen have been preserved in the church.

The Schirmvogtei of the monastery kept the counts of Oettingen. Count Louis XV reformed the village in the years after 1543. The monastic community resisted and remained Catholic. Due to the Reichsdeputationshauptschluss Kirchheim fell to the Principality of Oettingen-Wallerstein. The monastery was abolished. The nuns were allowed to stay together in their convent. With Anna Wörner from Ellwangen died on February 14, 1858 the last nun.
