Holy ground! The Muur van Geraardsbergen is a classic for every cycling enthusiast. Tough cobblestone climb, but fantastic to ride. Once the chapel comes into view, you can't help but ride very hard. What a reward!

The legendary "Wall of Geraardsbergen" or "De Muur" for short leads to the 110 meter high summit of the Oudenberg. The 910 meter long ascent has a gradient of up to 20 percent. For years, the Muur was the penultimate and all-important climb of the Tour of Flanders. Other cycling races such as the De Panne Three Days, Omloop Het Nieuwsblad and Enco use them as a test for the real “Flandrien”. If you want to take a break at the top, you can visit the neo-baroque style church.
