The estate dates from 1860 and is located on top of the Oudeberg, next to the famous Wall of Geraardsbergen. The Orangerie Les Roses is one of three locations on the estate, together with the castle and a 4-hectare park. It can accommodate up to 175 people and has three rooms. The origins of the Oudenberg castle can probably be traced back to a small homestead with adjacent stables and owned by linen merchant, and later banker, Jean-François Spitaels

Castle and grounds date from 1860 and are still in good condition. Top location to party at a high level or a place to get into higher spheres.History: A little lower is a small castle that began modestly at the end of the 18th century as a country residence of the wealthy Spitaels family, who became owners of almost the entire Oudenberg in the 19th century. The Château de la Montagne, then called Château de la Montagne, has its current appearance after a major renovation in 1889-1890. On the other side you notice a staircase with 33 steps, built for the visit of William I, King of the Netherlands, in 1829. Or so it is told.
