This is an authentic C-54 Skymaster. This aircraft was once sold in bankruptcy in parts from Zaventem, where it was stranded. The technical parts were then sold separately, as well as the airframe. It was bought by the then owner of the Oudenberghof restaurant, where it served as a clubhouse for years. It fell into disuse and was then purchased for the airport. It was transported to the airport on trucks. The fuselage was on a trailer pulled by a long truck, and each wing was on two other trucks. The following days it was rebuilt at the location where it still stands today. “
