To mark Schaffhausen's 500th anniversary in the Swiss Confederation, the sculptor Kurt Bruckner, who has lived in Schaffhausen since 1982, was commissioned to place his mythical creatures cast in concrete in the Rhine. Three mouse-like figures romping around together seem to be happily enjoying the river's play possibilities, a scene reminiscent of the summer activities of the willows upstream.
The object was donated to the city of Schaffhausen by the IWC company.
